I COULD NOT replicate some of the feedback tones with fingerings from this time last year. Slightly different mic, but everything else equal. This really underlines the importance of good documentation - which I've only just begun. My previous notes for this stuff is in dribs and drabs on random scraps of staff paper, which isn't helped by the fact that I had to tear down my setup after every session at U of T. Being in Montréal is great, as I can afford a studio space where I can leave things relatively in place. This allows the creative energies to flow from one day to the next and for a much greater level of standardization. Still, I need to look through old photos and notes to see if they will reveal anything about what the heck I was doing last fall...
