I spent most of my studio time today on this, as well as reviewing what I was doing yesterday.
I wanted to come up with something that could act as a B section to yesterday's riff. I don't know why I have cliché descending basslines in my head, but here's another. Whatever the reason, I felt like this passage needed another layer, so I started humming on top of / below the riff.
I'm really looking forward to moving into a bigger studio space in October, at which point I'll be able to set up some more mics, including a contact mic to pick up some key sounds, possibly on contact mic on my throat, and start doing some higher quality recordings.
